Multi-State Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Synthesis & Field Analysis
Comprehensive analysis of participatory farmer dialogues, 24-indicator historical trend matrices, women collective consultations, and multi-stakeholder value-chain interviews conducted by CAG, Asar, Regenerative Bihar, and grassroots partners across Bihar, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
Nutritional Paradox, Drying Pokhars & Bataidar Exclusion
Across Lakhisarai (Billo), Samastipur (Oriyama, Ujiyarpur), Begusarai (Bachhwara), Supaul, and Nalanda: elders contrast millet-era stamina ("नब्बे में नवें") with hybrid-chemical morbidity ("चालीस में चश्मा और 60 में दशक्रिया"). Soil vitality collapse (3–4x urea/DAP), ₹120–150/hr diesel pumping, Nilgai raids wiping out pulses (-70%), and 50–70% unrecorded bataidars locked out of schemes.
Soybean Monocrop Debt (70–90%), 600ft Borewells & Group Farming Bright Spots
Across Kaneri & Jayanagar (Latur), Anjandoh (Beed), Javalga & Holna (Dharashiv), and Karanjgaon (Chh. Sambhajinagar): 10+ traditional crops collapsed into soybean/cotton monocropping (98% chemicals, 70–90% debt at 36–60% interest, 16–18 farmer suicides). Bright spots include Holna's 20-farmer sericulture collective, Kaneri's 600 L/day silage FPC, Karanjgaon's 10-yr organic guava orchard, and SSP women's schools.
18-Acre Organic JLG Paddy, 9t/ha Carbon Coffee & 1.28 B:C Natural Farming
In Wayanad, 11 Kudumbashree women expanded 100% organic paddy from 2 to 16–18 acres alongside Sai Sir's 200+ native rice varieties, while a 138-sample study proved shade coffee sequesters ~9t CO₂/ha/yr. In Alathur (Palakkad), where pests triggered 8 pesticide sprays at 3x dosage, Alathur Seed Farm proved Natural Farming beats Organic (B:C ratio 1.28 vs 1.03).
11-Actor Delta Ecosystem, DSR Water Savings & Rice-Fish Symbiosis
Thiruvarur consultations mapped 11 stakeholder groups: Perunthuraikudi farmers (₹25k–30k/acre input cost, 15-day open-air DPC wait), organic pioneers earning ₹60–120/kg on Mappillai Samba & Karuppu Kavuni, Direct Seeded Rice (-30% water), integrated rice-fish symbiosis, and Chennai AED/Agri Dept convergence (70% solar pumps, 100% micro-irrigation).

Implementing Partners & Institutional Alliances
The Alliance for Climate Resilient Agriculture (ACRA) is co-led by Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) and Asar Social Impact Advisors (Asar), driving action research, policy advocacy, and coalition building in direct partnership with grassroots institutions across Maharashtra, Bihar, and Tamil Nadu.
Asar Social Impact Advisors
Asar Social Impact Advisors is an organization in the environment and social justice impact space with a commitment to building climate resilience and ambitious climate action. We identify challenges and opportunities, research them, verify ground truths, and understand local contexts, in order to build innovative strategies that are rooted in reality. Asar convenes multi-stakeholder conversations and helps build relationships between various key actors to be able to sustain collaborations essential to deliver real-world impact.
Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG)
Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) is a non-profit, non-political, professional organization that works on environmental protection, consumer rights, good governance, and citizen participation through research, policy advocacy, and public interest action. Established in 1985, CAG works to protect citizens' rights in environment, civic issues, and climate resilience, promoting sustainable agriculture policies, smallholder welfare, and ecological justice.

KGVK Incubator Centre • Farmer Demonstration, Soil Health Lab & Bio-Input Resource Centre (BRC)
KGVK Centre is an ACRA project-incubated grassroots space designed for farmers to demonstrate their agroecological work, operate a community Bio-input Resource Centre (BRC), and conduct local soil health testing. Supported directly through this project, Anju Ji's KGVK Centre procured dedicated soil health testing equipment and runs the centre as a living farmer-to-farmer incubator.
The KGVK Centre Concept • Anju Ji's Project-Supported Farmer Incubator
Unlike external institutional NGOs, a KGVK Centre is an incubated community space owned and animated by frontline practitioners where smallholders test, see, and adopt climate-resilient practices firsthand without depending on commercial agro-chemical dealers.
Farmer Demonstration Space
Provides a dedicated physical space where farmers demonstrate their own seasonal agroecological work — multi-tier intercropping, indigenous millet and paddy landraces, mulching, and organic bed preparation — so neighbouring cultivators can verify results in real field conditions before transitioning their own holdings.
Anju Ji's Soil Health Testing Equipment
Supported directly through this project, Anju Ji procured soil health testing equipment and runs the diagnostic facility at the KGVK Centre. Farmers bring plot samples to measure soil pH, organic carbon, and nutrient deficits locally — breaking the habit of blind, excessive Urea and DAP application.
Running the Bio-Input Resource Centre (BRC)
Because many smallholders lack cattle or time to ferment bio-inputs individually, the KGVK Centre operates a community Bio-input Resource Centre (BRC) preparing standardized batches of Jeevamrit, Ghanjeevamrit, Beejamrit, Neemastra, Agniastra, and vermicompost for immediate village distribution.
Facilitator & Farmer Incubation
Serves as a practical training ground for village facilitators, women farmers, and tenant cultivators (bataidars) through structured Q1 and Q2 workshops (`BR-014` & `BR-023`), equipping them with soil testing skills, seed conservation protocols, and participatory field note-taking.

KGVK Incubator Centre: Farmer Demonstration, Soil Health & BRC Orientation (Q1)
Two-day foundational workshop orienting farmer demonstrators and village facilitators on setting up the KGVK centre space, operating the Bio-input Resource Centre (BRC), and initiating baseline soil testing.
KGVK Incubator Centre: Bio-Input Resource Centre (BRC) & Soil Testing Workshop (Q2)
Hands-on Q2 workshop at Anju Ji's KGVK Centre training facilitators on operating the procured soil health testing equipment, scaling BRC bio-input batches for kharif crops, and recording field notes.
